Project Specialist - Healthcare
Kahler Slater is seeking a Project Specialist with 5+ years of experience for our national healthcare team in delivering master planning, advisory services, acute care, ambulatory care, and pediatric environments.
Our ideal team member is passionate about supporting the architectural design team to translate our clients' goals into spaces that are functional and efficient as well as align with the unique requirements of medical practice and patient care.
You will work in collaboration with our design team and clients to identify project goals and key drivers and create effective design solutions.
You will work across our healthcare team in alignment with our open and flexible culture that encourages individual initiatives and collaboration.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities of a Project Specialist
Project Development
- Support architectural project teams
- Connect a project's design intent with technical requirements
- Work in all phases of the project from concept through construction administration
Leadership
- Inspire, motivate, and lead project team in client service, design approach, and project delivery
- Establish an environment that encourages experimentation, innovation, and design creativity
- Represents the team with clients, industry partners, contractors, consultants, and public authorities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of a Project Specialist
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree
- 5+ years of experience on projects in a design firm setting, with at least 2+ years in healthcare projects preferred
- 4+ years of Revit production experience, and proficiency utilizing Revit and automation technologies
- Relevant experience and demonstrable skill with Bluebeam, Revit Rendering, and/or Enscape
- Interest or experience in software automation techniques preferred
- Successful teamorientation and collaboration behaviors
- Effective time management with multiple deadlines
- Strong communication skills, spoken, written, and graphic
- Efficiently respond to project team needs
- Maintains a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to coach and be coachable
- Started on path to licensure
Working Relationships and Scope of a Project Specialist
- Reports to Team Leader and Project Manager
- Collaborates with project team
- Works independently, under the mentorship of team members
- Represents the firm in alignment with Kahler Slater's core values
