    Empties trash cans and replaces linersAssists in cleaning tables and chairs in the dining areaDeep
    • Cleans in assigned areas, using specified chemicals and cleaning solutionsWashes furnishings, floors, and equipment with designed cleaning solutions and disinfectants.

    Scours and polishes sinks, tubs, mirrors, and similar equipment on a daily basisCleans windows and walls at least once a month, and more often as necessaryTurns mattresses as needed, requesting help when necessary.

    Sweeps, mops, and vacuums in assigned areas on a daily basisMoves furniture and other equipment at least once a week, requesting help necessaryUses housekeeping and floor care equipment appropriatelyUses dust cloths, vacuum cleaners, wet mops, dry mops and other floor care equipmentNotices when repairs are needed and completes maintenance request formsWashes and dries resident' laundryCollects and sorts resident's laundry according to favric type and desired water temperatureWashes residents' laundry, pre-treating, spot-cleaning, or soaking clothing when necessaryFolds or hangs laundry and returns to the appropriate placeMaintains work-area and supplies in an organized manner.

    Replaces cleaning and paper supplies, and hand soaps, and other supplies as needed.
    Keeps work area neatQualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldPrior experience in institutional cleaning is helpfulMust be able to spend most of the day walking, standing, stooping, or bendingBe able to lift at least 50 pounds
