At the earliest possible date, but no later than the winter semester of 2025/2026, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Velbert/Heiligenhaus campus is seeking to fill the following professorship:
Professorship (W2) for Business Informatics

The Hochschule Bochum offers degree programs in (Business) Informatics and various engineering disciplines at the newly established campus in Heiligenhaus, which opened in 2017.

A special feature is the close cooperation with the regional economy. Practical study projects and cooperative degree programs are highly valued here. With around 350 students and 13 professorships, the campus has a personal and dynamic atmosphere.

As part of the team, you are welcome to continuously develop this modern and young location, oriented towards the current needs of the surrounding companies.

Your tasks:

You will teach courses in German and English in the Bachelor's and Master's programs on topics related to Business Informatics, Business Administration, and Project Management.

You are willing to also teach basic modules in these areas and related fields.
You are willing to teach courses at all locations of the university.
You will supervise projects, final theses, and doctoral theses.
You will conduct research and publish in your field of expertise.
You will participate in the management of the "Computer Science" and "Learning Factory" laboratories.
You will be involved in the acquisition, initiation, and
