What to expect?

  • You will perform error analysis and debugging of Linux kernels, even during operation
  • You will fix errors, test adjustments for operational needs, and maintain downstream patches
  • You will work on performance and reliability improvements for specific use cases

What should you bring?

  • You are able to work with the operationally relevant source code parts of customized Linux kernels, whose upstream consists of millions of lines of code in total
  • You have a Master's degree in computer science with a focus on operating systems or a comparable degree
  • You have experience with the languages and development tools of the Linux kernel, as well as knowledge of the structure of Linux kernels and the tasks of operationally relevant components
  • You demonstrate long-term willingness to learn in the field, enjoy working in a team, and have enthusiasm for open source and the Linux kernel
