Apply for our Water Management department at our location in Essen as a System Administrator for the Dam Control Center (m/f/d) and become part of our team.

With approximately employees, we secure the drinking water supply for 4.6 million people in one of the largest metropolitan areas in Europe and preserve the essential resource of water for future generations.

To fulfill this great responsibility, we operate more than 800 technical facilities - including dams, sewage treatment plants, and sewer networks - and develop efficient solutions for sustainable resource management.


Your tasks:
System administration of operating systems and servers for the Dam Control Center Monitoring and supervision of systems Creation and implementation of backup and recovery concepts Continuous adaptation, systematic further development, and optimization of server operations and hardware Implementation of IT security requirements Creation and maintenance of system documentation Transfer of basic operations to the IT department You offer us: Successfully completed education in computer science, preferably in system integration, or comparable Administration certifications for Linux and/or Windows desirable Experience in operating hardware, server systems, and databases Knowledge in the field of IT security, backup & recovery, and redundancy Structured, forward-thinking, and independent way of working Willingness to further education Teamwork and communication skills An inspiring environment Secure job with a public employer Company pension scheme Collective remuneration according to TV-WW/NW including bonus system
