- Support sustaining engineering solutions for existing pump designs and provide new solutions for upcoming projects.
- Solve complex engineering calculations pertaining, including static or cyclical operational stresses, new product development, fatigue lifecycle estimates.
- Populate design documentation for ISO compliance and white papers for sales and marketing literature.
- Generate/revise/obsolete engineering prints utilizing best drafting practices via ECR/ECN process.
- Create models and drawings using SolidWorks.
- Produce written reports and make presentations.
- On-site field support for root cause analysis and engineering testing.
- Comprehensive customer interaction for failure analysis and design improvement.
- Support supplier development by aiding in audits, root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.
- Engages interest and participation of others; have a collaborative approach to working with others and proactively contributes to the Team.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Understanding of measurement techniques, metrology, inspection methods and equipment.
- Understanding manufacturing processes and the ability to work in diverse manufacturing environments.
- Planning and prioritizing activities.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to present data effectively to all levels of management, whether internal or external.
- Familiarity with all or some of the following:
- Weldments and joint design in accordance with ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1 standard preferred
- Pressure vessel design preferred
- Understanding of fluid dynamics and flow.
- Proficient with Solid Works or similar engineering design software required.
- Solidworks Simulation and ANSYS Mechanical preferred
- Advanced expertise with Microsoft Office Suite of products, Word, Excel.
- BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree.
- 4+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience, preferably in Oil & Gas and/or heavy machinery manufacturing environment.
