    Position Title

    Director of Global Learning and Partnerships
    Job Description

    The Director for Global Learning and Partnerships plays a pivotal leadership role, collaborating closely with the Vice Provost for Global Engagement to strategize, coordinate, implement, and assess global learning programs in collaboration with academic departments across the colleges.

    This role leads TU's global learning programs and initiatives, including the JumpStart TU, faculty-led travel courses, and semester exchange programs.

    Additionally, this position oversees risk management for global learning programs, develops policies and procedures, and collaborates with faculty and academic leadership to integrate global learning into the overall academic experience.

    Furthermore, this position will assist the Vice Provost on the management of international partnerships and international related grant management.


    Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
    Education Abroad

    Provide leadership and oversee the Education Abroad team in working toward university education abroad goals, overseeing semester, summer, year-long and short-term programs hosted by program providers or partner universities abroad.

    Coordinate program evaluation and assessment of global learning goals and outcomes; Supporting curricular development initiative.
    Develop and manage study abroad travel courses in collaboration with TU Faculty throughout the lifecycle of faculty-led travel courses.

    This includes assisting faculty in the program proposal process and selecting appropriate provider organizations, overseeing program logistics, student advising, scholarship administration, and enrollment processes, and developing and reviewing budgets for faculty-led travel courses.

    Expand virtual exchange and internships abroad opportunities.

    Serve as the primary lead for crisis response involving students, faculty and staff abroad, liaising with TU Emergency Management team, University leadership, parents, etc.

    Supervise staff in their roles of student advisement and outreach; manage the education abroad marketing plan and strategies.

    International Partnerships:
    Assist Vice Provost for Global Engagement to develop and maintain internal protocols for partnership management and approvals.
    Work with colleges and departments to update, renew or cancel existing agreements.

    Manage study abroad partnerships, maintain exchange agreements, and ensure that partner institutions are providing safe, high-quality programs to TU students.

    Generate reports on key metrics of global activity, implement data management processes to track TU's global footprint, including international research, student mobility, and current international students.

    Prepare annual updates on the status of university partnerships.

    Other Duties:
    Assist Vice Provost to identify and manage external grant opportunities.
    Represents the


    CGE
    at campus, community, and national meetings as requested.
    Coordinates the logistics of campus visits of international visitors.
    Performs other duties as needed/assigned.

    Required Qualifications :
    Three to four years of progressive responsibility and leadership in international education
    Second language proficiency
    Familiarity with faculty-led travel course design and development
    Willingness to travel domestically and abroad
    Knowledge of international issues and trends in international higher education and federal regulations
    Familiarity with Terra Dotta System
    Knowledge of federal regulations such as Financial aid, title IX and immigration

    Excellent ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, with a wide range of on-campus and off-campus constituencies, including faculty, staff and students.

    Demonstrated high work ethic with willingness to work flexible hours, as needed
    Excellent organizational, communication, intercultural and interpersonal skills.
    Required Qualifications

    D. or terminal degree
    Over five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a study-abroad office
    Experience working directly with risk management protocols in education abroad programs

    Typing/Keyboarding:
    Proficiency in typing and using a computer keyboard for extended periods.

    Speaking:
    Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

    Reaching:
    Ability to reach for items on shelves or in cabinets.

    Manual Dexterity:
    Ability to use hands and fingers to operate office equipment, handle files, and perform other tasks.
