    Description

    Overview:

    Client Company is looking to hire a full-time Superintendent to support construction projects on-site in the Houston area. Experience in building recreation centers and managing sub-contractors is ideal.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the execution of field operations of architectural construction projects in the Houston area
    • Coordinate and supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with architectural drawings, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
    • Lead and manage construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient workflow, quality craftsmanship, and timely project delivery.
    • Monitor and track project progress, milestones, and budget expenditures, providing regular updates to stakeholders and addressing any deviations from the plan.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, safety practices, and adherence to project schedules and specifications.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on the construction site.
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to resolve design issues, technical challenges, and construction conflicts.
    • Review and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications, identifying discrepancies and coordinating necessary revisions.
    • Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies required for construction activities, ensuring timely availability and cost-effectiveness.
    • Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and stakeholders to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment on project objectives and expectations.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings, to support project management and compliance requirements.
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to construction team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related field
    • Proven experience in architectural construction management, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in residential, commercial, or institutional construction projects.
    • Strong knowledge of construction principles, methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on architectural detailing and finishes.
    • Thorough understanding of architectural drawings, blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams.
    • Proficiency in construction project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing demands, and make informed decisions under pressure.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed to oversee construction projects and meet project deadlines.
