Location:

Corporate Headquarters, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey about 1 mile from the George Washington Bridge with easy reverse commute from NYC).


Purpose:


Essential Job Functions:


  • Input purchase and sales contracts into the company's trading system.
  • Monitor commodity positions to ensure optimal inventory management.
  • Generate shipment instructions for suppliers to efficiently maintain inventory and fulfill customer orders.
  • Identify new product opportunities for the customer base and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Follow up on potential customer leads to cultivate future business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control (QC) to qualify suppliers and establish new sourcing relationships.
  • Stay current of the overall market and competitive landscape to strategically enhance company operations.
  • Assist traders in coordinating the sending and receiving of product samples as needed.
  • Manage various documentation requirements for supplier and customer approvals.
  • Address discrepancies such as damages, shortages, labeling errors, and quality issues with suppliers.
  • Obtain Certificates of Analysis for purchased products and submit them for Quality Assurance (QA) approval.

Job Requirements (KSAOs):


  • Proficiency in problemsolving, data collection, and decisionmaking.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
  • Eagerness to tackle challenges and assume increased responsibilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel; familiarity with Navision/Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Demands/Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to sit and work from a computer in a remote setting for an extended period.

Salary:
$60,000 - $70,000

Supplemental pay types:

Please note:
This role is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (4 days home/1 day in the office). Currently, employees are required to work in the office on Wednesdays.

Moving forward, a time may come when employees will be asked to work from the office more, but a hybrid office/remote work schedule is expected to remain.


Pay:
$60, $70,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
