CoPack Utility II (Forklift Operator).
Schedule:
Mon-Fri from 8am-4pm
Hourly Rate:
$19/hr
The tasks and responsibilities required of the CoPack Utility II are outlined below:
- Receive raw materials and packing components from the warehouse using a stand-up forklift.
- Audits inbound and outbound product to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Inbound responsibilities include ensuring the proper unloading of trailers, accuracy of loads, transporting and putaway of product and raw materials.
- Transports raw materials and packaging components to specific lines and locations.
- Operation of corrugate bailer equipment.
- Transports finished materials to location in the warehouse using a standup forklift.
- Uses an RF scanner in a computerized inventory control system to manage product movements throughout the warehouse.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by performing Cycle Counts. (Verify SKU, box count and location).
- Required to operate a variety of material handling equipment including deep reach, standup forklifts, slip sheet machines, order picker and riderwalkies.
- Ensures any maintenance or repair issues for the building facilities, vehicles and equipment are communicated to supervision. Inspects MHE and completes preoperational checklist.
- Exhibits safe behaviors and practices in the workplace to include wearing required PPE.
- Responsible to follow all Safety, Quality, and Productivity standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must have high school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience operating MHE, warehouse and/or packaging experience preferred.
- Good written and oral communication. Bi-Lingual a plus.
- Strong mathematical skills, work requires continual attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team and motivate others to achieve department goals.
- Ability to frequently lift 35 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Must meet DOT sight and hearing requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.
- Ability to operate all equipment associated with warehousing environment. (Forklift, deep reach, wallkie, order picker, RF Scanner).
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work at heights up to 40 ft.
- Ability to work in cold storage (40?F)
- Must be able to work overtime, both daily and weekends
