Workplace Requirements:

About the Job:


High-Level Overview:

They are seeking an experienced Actuary to join their team in the Chicago area.

As an Actuary, you will play a crucial role in assessing and managing financial risks associated with various insurance products.


Responsibilities:

Risk Assessment: Utilize mathematical, statistical, and financial techniques to analyze and evaluate risks associated with insurance policies, including General Liability (GL), Worker's Compensation, and Multiline (Package incl. property) products.

Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to predict the probability and cost of future events, aiding informed decisions about pricing, underwriting, and reserving.

Product Development: Collaborate with underwriters and stakeholders to develop new insurance products tailored to client needs, ensuring competitiveness and profitability in the market.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all insurance products and pricing strategies comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 57 years of experience in actuarial roles within the insurance industry.
  • Experience with General Liability (GL), Worker's Compensation, and Multiline (Package, incl. property) insurance products.
  • Preferred: Professional certifications such as Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA).
