    At Vision Products, LLC, we specialize in the design, development and manufacturing of complex, state-of-the-art display systems for military and commercial applications. Our products and technologies include Head or Helmet Mounted Displays, and other human-machine interface devices.

    Job description

    We are looking for an Assembly & Support Electro-Opto-Mechanical Technician to assist in the assembly and development of advanced head-mounted displays for defense and medical applications, and to support various electrical activities. Responsibilities include building and testing complex opto-mechanical assemblies, inspecting optics for conformance, debugging electrical circuits, writing assembly procedures, and helping improve production yield. Ideally, we are also interested in someone with electrical assembly/technician experience, including soldering, using a multimeter and oscilloscope, and some basic electrical debugging.

    Desired Skills & Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience as a technician working with high precision mechanical and optical assemblies
    • Experience working in a clean-room environment
    • Able to understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
    • Excellent hand/eye coordination, fine motor skills
    • Soldering and rework of 0201 size components
    • Familiarity using test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, colorimeter)
    • High attention to detail
    • Good communication skills
    • Associate's degree in a related technical field from an accredited school
