Job Description Summary
Responsible for the physical arrangement and order of materials in the library collections. Responsible for assisting with oversight of the Circulation Desk during evening hours.
ACADEMIC YEAR PILOT HOURS:
Sunday through Thursday - 1pm to 9pm; hours vary according to the academic calendar.
This is an hours pilot for the duration of the academic year of If the pilot is not deemed successful by Law School and Library administration, the hours will revert to the original evening schedule for this position of Sunday through Thursday - 4pm to 12am; hours vary according to the academic schedule.

Library Assistants in public services areas are responsible for service desk (circulation/reserves and information), some training and directing the work of library clerks, students and part-time staff, and the maintenance of records and files established in libraries to govern the acquisition, organization, and reservation and circulation of collections.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated skills in working with bibliographic records developed through a combination of experience and training. Actual experience in bibliographic work and the ability to work independently. Attention to detail and dependability.
Ability to handle the physical nature of prolonged working with book stacks including lifting (occasionally 25-50 pounds), standing, stooping, and pushing loaded book trucks.
