    Description

    Special Populations Clerk Position at Academic Program

    Job Description:

    • Supporting the Special Populations Manager in organizing and implementing instructional materials used to evaluate and identify Special Education and EB/ESL students.
    • Managing inventory and providing necessary items for the department.

    Culture and Climate:

    • Collaborating and offering support to all staff members as necessary.
    • Participating in professional development opportunities as they arise.

    Student, Parent Outreach:

    • Communicating with parents to share program-related information when required.

    Administrative and Procedural Responsibilities:

    • Scheduling and overseeing ARD meeting appointments with parents and relevant staff to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Requesting documentation via specified systems to facilitate the placement of EB/ESL and Special Education students.
    • Assisting in PEIMS coding as necessary.
    • Handling contractors' invoices and forwarding them for payment processing.
    • Coordinating evaluations and meetings for service providers.
    • Facilitating testing and evaluation areas for service providers.
    • Assisting general education teachers during ARD meetings.
    • Collecting and managing SPED documents from parents as needed.
    • Filing and storing documentation in compliance with state and federal laws.
    • Maintaining confidentiality and proper documentation for every special education and EB/ESL student.

    Job Requirements:

    • Displaying flexibility to navigate challenges in a dynamic environment.
    • Possessing knowledge of curriculum and instruction relevant to EB/ESL and Special Education programs.
    • Demonstrating sound judgment in instructing students and managing their behavior.
    • Having at least two years of experience in Bilingual/ESL and Special Education program management.
    • Legal authorization to work in the country is mandatory.
    • Successful completion of a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
