- Performs clerical duties such as order entry, telephone management, and unit organization.
- Assists the HIM department with chart breakdown and scanning.
- Supports staff breaks and fills in as a Patient Care Tech when necessary.
- Assists in various codes as required.
- Responsible for updating census and communicating with schools for admissions, discharges, and updates.
- Adheres to work schedules, policies, and procedures.
- Executes additional job duties as assigned.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Intermediate-level computer skills, familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
- Preferably a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years' experience as a Unit Clerk/Patient Care Technician in behavioral health.
- Proficient in English communication (verbal and written).
- BLS certification mandatory at the time of hiring.
- De-escalation training required within 30 days of employment.
