Specialist for Coding / MD Management in Medical Controlling (m/f/d)

Integrated in the inpatient treatment team, you will fulfill the following tasks

  • Daily coding of treatment cases
  • Communication of case managers with medical staff regarding the economic aspects of treatment cases
  • Contact with internal and external service providers
  • Processing of payer inquiries and collaboration with patient administration and billing as well as financial accounting
  • Communication with payers and monitoring in accounts receivable management
  • Further development of documentation in the assigned department
  • Participation in knowledge transfer within the interdisciplinary team

Your profile

  • Commercial education in the healthcare sector with professional experience in clinical coding and/or medical/nursing education
  • Desirable additional qualification in the field of clinical documentation/coding
  • Experience as an employee (m/f/d) of a health insurance company with corresponding knowledge
  • Experience in working with HIS systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of handling payer inquiries & MD management
  • High level of social competence, independence, responsibility, and communication skills
