    Position Description:

    CGI has a need for an AWS Python Developer to join the financial services team in Belton, TX, Columbia, SC, Plano, TX, Reston, VA, or any office in the US where CGI has a presence in the Central/Eastern Time Zone.

    Your future duties and responsibilities:


    * Engage in code reviews with peers and managers to ensure each increment aligns with the original vision and follows standard resource libraries and architecture patterns.


    * Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including planning, grooming, product demonstration, and retrospectives.


    * Use the DevOps tool stack for building, inspecting, deploying, testing, and promoting new or updated features.


    * Be available to handle support calls for applications in production and make quick repairs to keep applications running smoothly.


    * Develop or update documentation supporting development efforts, including specifications, implementation guides, and design documents.


    * Collaborate with product owners and team members to identify new features and user stories for applications.

    Required qualifications for success in this role:


    * 6-8 years' IT development experience


    * 3-4 years' extensive experience developing and deploying applications on AWS Cloud


    * Proficiency in developing scalable code in Python/PySpark


    * Hands-on experience with APIs using Python, API Gateway, Kinesia, and streaming


    * Experience building APIs on AWS cloud


    * Proficiency in AWS services like Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, Step Functions, EMR, and Glue


    * Familiarity with CI/CD using Terraform pipelines and Gitlab


    * Experience with CI/CD using AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline


    * Scripting and automation experience using Python, PHP, etc.


    * Strong SQL skills in databases such as DynamoDB, Postgres, Oracle, etc.


    * Hands-on experience in application monitoring and tuning


    * Experience in deploying serverless applications and knowledge of AWS Services

    Education Requirement:


    * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

    CGI is legally obligated in some locations to provide a reasonable estimate of compensation range, which is determined based on various factors such as skills, experience, and training. The estimated range for this role in the U.S. is $67,000 to $180,200.
