The warehouse associate is responsible for assisting the warehouse lead with receiving and shipping all incoming and outgoing freight orders.
Receiving shipments will include breaking down orders and putting them away in the warehouse in an organized manner as designated by the warehouse lead.
The warehouse associate ensures that the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and consistent with current safety regulations at all times.
This will include daily and weekly cleanings which are not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, removing trash, etc.He or she will also help maintain inventory, monitor all shipments, communicate with customers, assist in loading and unloading customer orders, assist with picking delivery orders, assist with administrative tasks relating to the shipping and receiving of orders, and communicate with vendors to identify and resolve shipment discrepancies and damages.
The warehouse associate is expected to keep a professional attitude with all vendors, customers, and work closely with all departments as needed.
The warehouse associate will also be responsible for assisting store associates with restocking items inside the store as needed.Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the storage areas and warehouse are kept clean and tidy.
- Monitor Shipments and deliveries & maintain an organized record of shipping and receiving documents
- Communicate with Customers and Clients, ensuring delivery and receiving problems are resolved and executed smoothly.
- Assist warehouse lead with preparing and processing all paperwork relating to the shipping of orders for customers. This may include invoices, bill of ladings, tracking information, customs documents, etc.
- Assist delivery drivers with pulling orders from the warehouse for daily deliveries, as needed.
- Receive and organize shipments and ensure that all incoming stock is put away in a timely and organized fashion.
- Assist in any new warehouse facility moves and or physical installation of warehouse facilities.
- Operate machinery / Forklift / pallet jacks / hand with tools and equipment of all types. ( must be forklift certified to operate forklift
Physical Demands:
This position involves constant moving, driving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours at a time.
May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders, and handle dry material with proper precautions / Customer service focused / Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service / Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and on special events ie; Blowout Sales.
/ High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred, ceramics background ideal.Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
