- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and compliance issues.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on safety procedures, equipment usage, and emergency response protocols.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance documentation.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to continuously improve safety practices.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, contractors, and clients regarding safety matters and compliance requirements.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings, safety orientations, and project planning to ensure safety considerations are integrated into all phases of construction.
- Foster a positive safety culture by promoting awareness, accountability, and participation among all employees.

Job Description
Job DescriptionAs a Safety Manager at Florida Atlantic Ironworks, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel on our construction sites. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety protocols, procedures, and training programs to mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
There is a 20%+ possible travel.

Required:
5 to 10 years of progressive experience
OSHA 500 Trainer
Proven experience as a safety manager or similar role in the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various construction sites.
This role requires bilingual for Spanish / English.
(Preferred Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, or related field.
Certified trainer in fall protection.
