      The Senior Engineer plans, designs, develops and enhances KeHE applications throughout the lifecycle development process. As with all positions at KeHE Distributors, we expect that all actions will be consistent with KeHEs Mission, Vision, and Values. Essential Functions:
      • Provide guidance and mentoring to other Developers/Analysts.
      • Collaborates with others on requirement specifications and documentation.
      • Effectively translate business needs into technical solutions/requirements and technical solutions into business terms.
      • Perform analysis, design, implementation, and training on solutions.
      • Maintain the production systems as necessary to support the business, including participation in an on-call rotation schedule.
      • Ability to document and develop data models, detailed programming specifications and estimates, system testing plans, integration testing plans, and unit testing plans. Maintain current documentation on all programs, systems, and procedures.
      • Establish practices and procedures that work towards the continuous improvement of the development process.
      • Follow best practices and change management procedures for developing and releasing new programs into the production environment.
      • Translate technical requirements into business practice.
      • Take a functional requirement and turn it into a technical solution through to delivery.
      • Maintain safeguards of confidential company information.
      • Other duties and special projects as requested.
      Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude:
      Job Requirements:
      • Bachelors degree preferred.
      • Minimum of five (5) years of development experience utilizing various versions of RPG (RPGII, RPGIII, RPGIV, RPGLE), CL and CLLE, SQL, and IBMi iSeries file systems and data bases.
      • Added plus: Experience utilizing at least three of the following technologies: .NET, , C#, MVC, EDI on Win Tel and/or iSeries platforms.
      Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
      • Bachelors degree in computer sciences or related experience.
      • Knowledge of computer applications, programming and systems design/analysis, and detailed knowledge of industry trends.
      • Proven history of innovation and career growth.
      • Strong experience in software development life cycle including concept design, review, analyzing, testing, and programming of applications.
      • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
      • Excellent grammar, presentation, and telephone skills.
      • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
      • Excellent interpersonal abilities: ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful and flexible.
      • Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions & make recommendations.
      • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient, and detailed oriented.
      • Experience working in a team-oriented, highly collaborative environment.
      • Able to exercise independent judgment and act on it.
