The Government of Stuttgart is seeking a
Nature Conservation Specialist (m/f/d) for the lower
Nature Conservation Authority at the earliest possible date.


The lower Nature Conservation Authority (Department of Nature Conservation, Hunting, and Fisheries) is part of the Environmental Protection Office of the District Office of Göppingen.

The place of employment is Göppingen.

As the position is limited without a specific reason, only applicants who have not previously been employed by the state of Baden-Württemberg can be considered (- 14 para. 2 sentence 2 TzBfG). Vocational training contracts are not included.


Your tasks

  • Statements on development plans, individual building projects, and major projects, e.g. wind turbines, infrastructure projects, etc., including technical support for the implementation of measures after approval
  • Evaluation of impact/compensation regulations, ecological accounts, and compensation registers, environmental impact assessments, and Natura 2000 compatibility assessments, as well as assessments of species protection
  • Supervision and control of protected biotopes, natural monuments, and landscape protection areas
  • Support and implementation of specialized and maintenance concepts for individual projects or Natura 2000 areas
  • Support for municipal biotope network planning
  • Support for species conservation programs, consultation on species protection issues
  • Participation in onsite inspections of agricultural environmental measures (FAKT, landscape conservation guidelines)
  • Organizational support for nature conservation officers, assistance to nature conservation officers in difficult
