Departmental Objective

  • Our mission is to serve quality products with fast and friendly service in a clean atmosphere.
    Purpose of the Position
  • To ensure necessary food items are prepared in appropriate quantities and according to established quality guidelines for customer needs.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Demonstrated basic math skills.
  • Knowledge of all kitchen equipment.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to communicate in writing or verbally to both supervisors and subordinates.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Position will be exposed to slippery footing and congested work areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in very fast paced atmosphere.
  • Will be required to work days, evening and some weekends.
  • Must have reliable transportation, punctuality is a required.

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required

Education:


  • High School Graduate or equivalent.

Experience:


  • Cooking experience in a high volume institutional setting.
  • Experience working in deli and or salad bar/preparation.

Additional Consideration(s)

Experience:


  • Previous experience working at a college/university.

Salary Information

  • Starting at $28,802, Commensurate with Education and Experience
