- Perform month end closing procedures including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations.
- Record intercompany activity and intercompany cost allocations. Experience with intercompany activity, analytics, and reporting is an important part of this function.
- Create month-end manufacturing variance reports and analyze results.
- Produce monthly Financial Statements for review by the CFO and Controller, including various ad hoc operating reports
- Review & analyze manufacturing Bill of Materials, standard and average costs, and monthly cost variances in ERP system. Work directly with operations and shop floor to resolve issues.
- Analyze monthly trial balance and provide reports to Divisional Presidents.
- Prepare annual LIFO inventory valuation reports and reconciliation to GL
- Monitor accuracy of monthly inventory cycle counts and lead year-end inventory observation/ test counts with public accountants. Reconcile and resolve findings.
- Prepare work papers for year-end audit and assist with audit, as necessary.
- Assist the Controller with annual budget process.
- Prepare personal property tax returns.
- Prepare required government surveys & census reports
- Perform other such duties as assigned by the CFO and Controller
