The Digital Modernization Sector has a career opportunity for a ServiceNow Developer supporting the Global Solutions Management - Operations II (GSM-O II) contract at DISA.
This contract includes the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISA's operational mission through innovation, and support to DISA's mission partners.
As ServiceNow Developer you will perform configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the ServiceNow implementation.Works with external and internal stakeholders to understand, propose, and deliver digital transformation solutions with emphasis on request fulfillment, automated workflows through ServiceNow Service Catalogs and key ITIL processes like Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and other modules.
Primary Responsibilities- Support the standup, configuration and implementation of ServiceNow's ITSM, OMT, TSM, and TSOM modules.
- Create and maintain Forms, Reports, Views, Workflows, Groups and Roles
- Create, maintain and enhance Dashboards and reporting, including scheduled reports
- Create and configure tool integrations with ServiceNow (Elastic, Netcool, Kafka, etc)
- Assist with design, creation and cataloging of business process flows
- Work with other members of the ServiceNow development team to propose solutions based on business needs and strategies
- Perform the necessary tasks to design and configure ServiceNow functions to meet operational needs
- Support business process reengineering activities to move ticketing and order management capabilities into ServiceNow
- Identify trends and find patterns in unstructured and semistructured customer data that can be used to create a more positive customer experience and increase overall network performance
- Interact with the customer to address Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues or conflicts
- Developing, configuring, and customizing the ServiceNow platform to fit business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Orchestrate and automate tasks.
- Provide strong development and project ontrack and ontask and collaborate on an ongoing project in both new and enhancements development between engineers, developers, analyst, and other team members.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to to gather input to support ongoing business needs for Service Now configuration, implementation, and support.
- Utilizes available programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation.
- Support data migration as needed.
- Design and implement solutions following established Configuration Management policies and standards.
- Integrate data from multiple data sources into a unified CMDB, ensuring data quality and integrity are maintained.
- Willingness to further grow and enhance skillset from more senior developers throughout each project.
- Requires a US Citizenship.
- Hold and active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher (i.e., Security+)
- Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Must be able to commute to Scott AFB, IL, Ft. Meade, MD, or Ogden, UT for full time onsite support
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 48 years of professional experience; or 26 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree. Additional experience may be excepted in lieu of degree.
- At least 3 years of experience with the design, development, and support of technology infrastructure.
- At least 2 years of ServiceNow development.
- Experience with ServiceNow upgrades.
- Ability to multitask and selfassign work in a fastpaced environment.
- Demonstrate potential and willingness to learn and adapt to rapid changes in technology.
- Open to receiving mentoring from senior developers.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
- Experience or familiarity with Agile development and testing methodology
- Experience with JIRA, Git and Confluence.
- Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified.
- AWS cloud and ServiceNow certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline
