For one of our clients in the medical technology industry, we are currently looking for an Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d) - Medical Systems in Jena. This is a hybrid position with the option to work from home.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing embedded software systems and firmware for microcontrollers in the field of medical technology
  • Conducting software testing
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including colleagues from product management, engineering, quality management, regulatory affairs, and marketing; working closely with hardware department colleagues on new product developments
  • Performing technical documentation
  • Communicating with development partners and suppliers
  • Taking responsibility for the functions and features you develop, from specification to validation, throughout the development cycle
  • Contributing your own ideas and being heard

You should bring the following qualifications:

  • Degree in a technical field or equivalent education and relevant work experience
  • Experience in embedded development using C/C++
  • Knowledge of Cortex microcontrollers
  • Preferably experience in the medical technology industry
  • An open and communicative attitude, as well as a solution-oriented mindset
