    The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Strength Analysis Engineer to join the Air Dominance Armament and Mechanisms Team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focusing on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

    Position Responsibilities:
    • Plans and organizes structural analysis work at the program level to assure total compliance with structural integrity and stability requirements.
    • Develops, integrates and documents complex or unique structural requirements to establish the system design.
    • Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
    • Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by defining requirements for development of analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance of the product.
    • Works with customers and regulatory agencies to define certification processes that will ensure requirements are met.
    • Reviews and approves certification results.
    • Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
    • Defines and organizes test programs to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
    • Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Investigates emerging technologies to develop future product designs to meet projected requirements.


    This role requires being involved in the integration of new and existing weapons onto the F-15 and F/A-18 Platforms, both for the United States and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Customers (Indonesia, Israel, Korea, Poland, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore). Applicants must be comfortable performing this work scope as described.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
    • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, geology, physics, computer science or mathematics
    • 10+ years of experience using NASTRAN/PATRAN or similar FEM software to perform structural analysis on aircraft or space structures
    • Proficient in the use of technology, including Apple and Microsoft Devices and Software (i.e. Excel, Office, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
    • 10+ years of experience in gathering and analyzing data as well as putting the information in a presentation or report for others to review
    • 10+ year of experience working with internal and external customers and suppliers


    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
    • 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Knowledge and experience with fixed wing military aircraft platforms
    • Experience with structural analysis software such as Abacus, NASTRAN, and StressCheck
    • Ability to understand and write engineering reports based on analysis results, test findings, and maintenance reports
    • Ability to provide training/mentoring to early career engineers
    • Experience working in a diverse Integrated Product Team (IPT)
    • Strong oral and written communications skills


    Typical Education: - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

    Summary pay range (Level 5 Senior): $136,850-$185,150
