Texas A&M University's Technology Services is seeking a System Administrator II to serve on our Apple Device Management team.
You will have the opportunity to provide systems administration for our unified Apple device management environment that manages workstation endpoints across Texas A&M main campus and TAMU health campuses statewide.
In this role as a System Administrator II for Apple Device Management, you will implement technical baseline configuration profiles and policies delivered throughout the environment.
Y ou will work hand-in-hand with other IT administrators, helping them implement their configuration s at the college or unit level.
A key responsibility includes investigating and resolving issues related to our Apple endpoint management service delivery.You will also have the opportunity to facilitate root cause analysis and problem resolutions, working closely with IT partners and our endpoint technology vendors.

- Provide technical guidance for endpoint management platform server administration.
- Troubleshoot complex endpoint technology problems, p rovid ing Tier III support.
- M onitor and maintain endpoint security and for protecting and recovering data.
- Monitor and remediate Apple device security noncompliance and serve as a technical expert for Apple device management.
- Create, evaluate, and propose plans for the implementation of new endpoint technology deployments and system integration testing.
- Document server support methods, procedures, and configurations.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to student technicians and assist with their professional development.
- Participate in 4+ applicable IT training and professional development activities yearly.
Salary Range:
Commensurate with education and experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience AND three years of system administration related experience.
- A bachelor's degree in technology management, Computer or Information Systems Management, Computer Systems Analyst, or Information Technology.
- Three years of experience enrolling and managing Apple devices for the enterprise using Jamf Pro, Manage Engine Desktop Central, Workspace ONE, or ZENworks.
- Higher education experience or Texas A&M University experience.
- Attained Jamf certifications such as Jamf Certified Tech (Jamf 200), Jamf Certified Admin (Jamf 300), Jamf Certified Expert (Jamf 400), and/or Jamf Endpoint Security Admin (Jamf 370).
- Expert root cause analysis, change management, and technical documentation skills.
- Expertise knowledge in scripting in Bash or PowerShell.
- Expertise knowledge of security compliance standards including NIST SP 80053r5 and CIS Benchmarks.
