- Assist in the system security authorization processes.
- Provide technical security expertise in support of the DISA CIO's monitoring, tracking, and coordination with the Agency's Directorate POC's, IAM, Program/Project managers and the FSO to ensure the Program's STIG compliance.
- Assist in writing and developing System Security Plans (SSPs), Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms), Risk Assessments, Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and supporting documentation for systems subject to NIST SP 800–53.
- eMASS experience managing authorization packages, cybersecurity compliance activities, and integration with Continuous Monitoring Risk Scoring (CMRS)
- Prepare and provide weekly reports on the number of POA&Ms for STIG and IA Controls processed for the reportable period
- Prepare and deliver oral IA–focused presentations to technical and non–technical groups
- Assist customer with system security hardening and baseline development, analysis, and auditing as well as analyzing detailed system documentation, network topologies and other security related documentation for maintenance of Authority to Operate (ATOs)
- Perform IS security briefings, report all security incidents and investigate, document and report, as well as provide protective and corrective measures in response to such incidents.
- Interface with appropriate government agencies, company management and employees, customers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure understanding of and compliance with security requirements.
- Be responsible for conducting technical aspects of cybersecurity assessments, particularly Cybersecurity RMF Controls Validation Testing and have an understanding of DoD testing tools and techniques as well as a knowledge of DISA STIGs and IAVM requirements.
- Work with other privileged users to jointly solve IA problems.
- Active Secret or TS/SCI Clearance.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of Information Assurance and IT experience.
- eMASS experience managing authorization packages, cybersecurity compliance activities, and integration with Continuous Monitoring Risk Scoring (CMRS)
- Knowledge of the NIST RMF and the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process.
- DoD IAT Level II certified.
- AWS Cloud and cloud migration experience to include AWS Security Hub for security best practice checks, aggregation of alerts, and automated remediation.
- Technical Writing experience (creating/updating IA policy & procedure documentation).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities.
- Must be able to work well on independent engagements as well as within a team setting. Strong client presence and interaction abilities.
- Excellent understanding of common computing platforms including RedHat Linux Server, and vendor specific appliance support; Some understanding of military hierarchy. The selected candidate will support our contract with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and perform tasks related to Assessment & Authorization (A&A) and Cybersecurity compliance under DoD to obtain and maintain an Authorization to Operate (ATO) for assigned DISA applications, networks, and devices.
Members of the team will oversee, evaluate, and support the documentation creation, risk assessment, and accreditation processes necessary to ensure new and existing information technology (IT) systems meet the organization's information assurance (IA) and security requirements.
The selected candidate will ensure appropriate treatment of risk, compliance, and monitoring assurance is applied from internal and external perspectives.
This position also coordinates, monitors Command Readiness Inspection (CCRI) reviews the organization's Information Assurance programs, all aspects of NIPRNET and SIPRNET networks and analysis, scoring, and finding remediation of critical cyber and physical assets that support these networks.
