Operations Supervisor THIRD Shift.
Hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:45pm-6:15am, with daily extensions and overtime days as required.
Summary:
Manage production and shipping systems. Monitor operation equipment and systems. Maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. Coordinate activities with other departments. Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness. Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions
- Plan, assist and direct work to meet departmental goals and objectives.
- Create effective actions to enhance productivity.
- Recruiting quality employees to meet production goals.
- Motivating and supervising employees.
- Evaluating the performance of your assigned employees, delivering positive and/or negative feedback, and addressing any shortcomings.
- Designing and implementing departmental policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
- Ensure material is shipped to the customer in a timely manner. Make decisions on and arrange Hot Shot shipments to the customer.
- Responsible for OntheJob Training.
- Ensures compliance to Comprehensive Dock Safety Procedures.
- Ensure that the Five Alarm Process is initiated and executed.
- Ensures that material distribution in any shipment is sufficient to meet customer needs.
- Monitor the flow of labor and material in the department.
- Responsible for organization and cleanliness of the department.
- Involved in Multidisciplinary Five Phase Problem Solving Teams that directly drives company's Continuous Improvement Process and Policies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of a high school Diploma
- Good written and oral communication
- Manufacturing/Assembly experience (required)
- Supervisor/ Leadership/ Management experience (required)
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
