    Job Summary


    This is a permanent position overseeing three preschool classrooms for two, three, and four year olds that run year-round on the Mother Lode Christian School campus.

    The director is responsible for the child enrollment process and evaluations, keeping student records, scheduling and hiring of workers, providing inservicing and mentorship as needed, securing supplies and curriculum, maintaining a budget, and ensuring that the state licensing requirements are met.

    Most importantly, the director would lead in the love and knowledge of Christ with workers, children, and families.

    Requirements / Qualifications

    The director must possess one of the following: A) 12 semester units in child development + 3 units of administration/staff relations + 4 years of teaching in a licensed childcare facility.

    B) Associate of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education (one class in administration/staff relations included) + two years of experience in a licensed childcare facility.

    C) Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and at least one year of teaching experience in a licensed childcare facility. D) A Child Development Site Supervisor or Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing.

    The director must also be current on health and safety training or able to complete such training prior to the start of employment.
