- Assume responsibility for the daily operations and every aspect of the school in the absence of the Executive Director.
- Work in conjunction with the Executive Director to ensure compliance with all licensing/accrediting agencies.
- Abide by and enforce all terms of The Malvern School Employee Manual.
- Produce written work for parents, staff, peers and supervisors that is of above-standard quality in composition, content, and timeliness.
- Strive to achieve goals in all areas of position to promote the school's and the company's growth and prosperity.
- Lead or assist in classrooms (as needed) in order to maintain ratios, meet financial goals, and serve as a role model.
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education (with a minimum of 24 credits in the field)
- Two years teaching experience in Early Childhood Education, required
- Supervisory experience, required
- Knowledge of NAEYC, preferred
- Experience writing and reviewing lesson plans, required
- Experience observing classroom lessons, preferred

The Director of Education assists the Executive Director in overseeing the school, and has a focus on educational programming, classroom observations and staff training & development.
