Job purpose
:
To support the QA Manager and other lab personnel in being responsible for performing all laboratory tests as assigned and needed during seecond shift.
Key responsibilities and job duties
:
- Performing all laboratory tests with precision, including but not limited to: pH, viscosity, slurry pH, particle size, insoluble, moisture, solids and protein analysis.
- Verifying that quality related sampling procedures are being adhered to by operations personnel.
- Creating Certificate of Analysis for outgoing product.
- Maintaining test results (on paper and in electronic form).
- Calibrating lab equipment on a set schedule.
- Complying with all lab and plant safety practices
- Communicating results as needed in the proper formats.

Must have basic computer skills

Must speak and write English proficiently
:
Must be able to work occasional week ends and occasionally work
first or third shifts if available and needed. Second shift schedule may be a little different than traditional Monday through Fridays

Must be able to work independently with little supervision
:
Must be a detail -oriented person
:
Must be able to be comfortable working with numbers, formulas and calculations.**

Computer skills
:
Must be comfortable with a computer keyboard. Must be able to easily navigate through operating software screens. Must be confident in entering and changing information through computers.
Literacy and Numeracy
:
Should be able to perform basic math functions through a computer or a calculator. Should be able to read and understand at a high school level or higher. Should have a minimum of a high school diploma

Management Ability
:
Should be able to multi-task at some level. Having previous management experience at any level would be a plus
Pay:
$ $21.00 per hour
