- Facilitate communication and coordination efforts with third-party firms when necessary.
- Facilitate an environment that fosters and supports continuous improvement and demonstrates a sense of urgency that results in a commitment to quality results.
- Use appropriate problem-solving tools such as value stream mapping and process stream mapping to provide rapid improvement with sustainable results.
- May lead or mentor junior staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Process Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or equivalent experience required
- Advanced degree preferred
- Ten (10)+ years of business experience in a service, engineering or manufacturing related industry preferred
- Exhibits positive leadership at a role model level.
- Ability to operate with a strategic focus.
- Proven ability to plan and manage projects in a fast-paced environment, accomplishing objectives through others.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain solid relationships at all levels throughout the organization and utilize these relationships to achieve successful integrations.
- Ability to learn, analyze situations and resolve issues with minimal assistance and supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to listen and communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.

SUMMARY:The Consultant will identify and manage customer-based projects that seek to provide value and solutions to the customer. This role will work collaboratively with various groups across Smithers to provide a solution to the customer.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
