**Project Manager - Business Analysis Team


Position Description:


Sprezzatura seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead its requirements team supporting the Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA) within the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA).

This role is crucial for overseeing the requirements analysis of the court system used by the BVA.

The Project Manager will guide the alignment of BVA's IT services with the organization's goals to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the appeals process for veterans.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Assume overall responsibility for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, staffing, and reporting on program and project status, deliverables, and schedules.

Business Analysis Direction: Lead the business analysts, leveraging deep knowledge of the requirements process to effectively guide system enhancements.

Agile Management: Showcase leadership within an agile, fast-paced environment, maintaining awareness of all efforts under this task order.

Strategic Execution and Evaluation: Enhance strategic planning and reporting capabilities, refining processes to align with BVA's mission, overseeing the implementation of strategic initiatives, and measuring their impact to adjust strategies as needed.


Required Qualifications:


  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience as a Project Manager, with a strong background in Business Analysis.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within the VA, preferably within the BVA.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of VA's Court Management system VACOLS or Case Flow.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, JIRA, and VBMS (Veterans Benefits Management System).
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of resolving conflicts, escalating issues, and ensuring team collaboration.
  • PMI PMP certification is strongly preferred.
