    St. Benedict, Seattle Our School- St. Benedict Catholic School is a Preschool - Grade 8 Catholic school located in North Seattle, just south of Greenlake. It is our goal to educate the whole child, providing high quality academic instruction in the context of a loving and vibrant Catholic community.

    As our mission states: St Benedict Catholic School nurtures the individual, fosters intellectual curiosity, encourages spiritual and personal growth, supports loving relationships, and promotes caring service to the community.

    The school is unique to North Seattle because of its enrollment (currently 220 students), low class sizes (20 student average), and diverse student population. The school currently employs 11 classroom teachers, 10 specialist teachers, and 4 instructional aides.

    The Position- St. Benedict Catholic School in Seattle, Washington is seeking candidates for a part-time Director of Communications and Marketing position. This is a hybrid position (approximately hours per week) that can be performed remotely but candidates must be prepared to work from campus some weekdays and during some afterschool events.

    Responsibilities-
    Developing Marketing and Communications Strategies:
    • Create and execute comprehensive marketing and communications plans to enhance the visibility and reputation of St. Benedict Catholic School.
    • Collaborate with school leadership to align strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for external communications and inquiries.
    Social Media Management:
    • Manage all social media platforms and the school's website, including some content creation.
    • Monitor social media metrics and trends to optimize performance and engagement.
    • Ensure all content is consistent with the school's brand voice and messaging.
    • Work closely with school staff to promote events, initiatives, and achievements within the school community and beyond.
    • Develop promotional materials and campaigns to increase attendance and participation.
    Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Monitor and analyze marketing and social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns.
    • Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators and insights for school leadership.
    Qualifications:
    • Proven experience in marketing, social media management, and communications, preferably in the education or nonprofit sector.
    • Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems, and graphic design tools.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • A collaborative and creative mindset, with a passion for storytelling and engaging diverse stakeholders.
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred).
    Salary: ($ $35.00/hour) Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.

    Benefits: This is a non-benefited, part-time position that does not offer benefits.
