Opportunity
Responsible for financial and operational performance within specified areas of the IT category. Responsible for negotiating XaaS, telecom, equipment, and/or services agreements globally, at a corporate level, for all business units. Accountable for supplier selection decisions within category and projects. Prepares and evaluates supplier quotations and services to determine the most competitive solution based upon total cost of ownership. Familiar with a variety of purchasing concepts, practices, and procedures.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Category Strategy
  • Deliver on risk reduction goals and increases to service levels
  • Support the management of existing vendor relationships and performance
  • Evaluate and support the additions of new vendors and technology as needed
  • Identify, plan, and execute projects and initiatives focused on delivering cost reduction
  • Proactively identify future areas of opportunity to address cost, building a pipeline of value to be executed through a variety of professional sourcing approaches
  • Manage and defend against unforeseen cost increases using various negotiation tactics to minimize unfavorable impacts to Kohler
  • Support strategic project execution
  • Crossfunctional RFx development, rollout, and evaluation; including supplier selection, proposal analysis, and negotiation
  • Identify contractual needs and establish agreements that accommodate

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience and 7 years of IT purchasing experience
  • Experience independently managing contracts and projects >$1M in annual spend
  • Experience utilizing supplier management platforms (Jaggaer a plus)
