"We for all - together for nature. We are currently seeking a Department Head (m/f/d) for Nature Conservation for our Department of Nature and Environment at Deshler, starting as soon as possible. This position is full-time and permanent, with a salary of pay grade 13 TVöD/VKA or salary group A 13. Our Department of Nature and Environment is responsible for environmental protection, soil and water conservation, and waste management in the context of sustainable urban development, based on federal and state environmental laws. Our tasks include prevention, mitigation, and remediation of environmental pollution, participation in planning and approval procedures to consider environmental protection issues, and implementation of measures to maintain and restore a livable and ecologically diverse environment for the citizens of Neumünster.

Your future tasks:

Leading and managing the Department of Nature Conservation with five employees
Management and organizational tasks, personnel management, and project work
Coordination of department activities and decisionmaking in fundamental and important matters
Controlling, budget planning, and execution for the department's operating and investment budgets

Your profile:

You have a successfully completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, ecology, landscape planning, landscape management, or a related field
Indepth knowledge of nature conservation law, administrative procedures, and experience in nature conservation are required
Several years of professional experience in the field of nature conservation and good knowledge of administrative processes are desirable
