    Description
    Clinical Coordinator

    The Clinical Coordinator at Hope/Wrentham is responsible for the overall supervision of Hope therapists and their respective therapy services provided at Wrentham Developmental Center. Responsible for the coordination and communication of all therapy services within Wrentham, as well as collaborating with allied partners and other treating community agencies. This position requires exceptional interpersonal, communication and clinical skills to provide the highest level of customer service possible.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    1. Responsible for the overall coordination of all therapy services and those Hope therapists providing them at Wrentham Developmental Center.
    2. Oversees Hope therapists providing therapy services, ensuring that appropriate and effective communication occurs between therapists, Wrentham employees, family/guardians and other community entities involved in the care of those residents.
    3. Evaluates the quality of therapy services provided by the Hope therapists (not limited to on site observations, employee and peer evaluations, or other appropriate methods).
    4. Participates in the development and maintenance of all training services for Wrentham employees and other members of the community.
    5. Collaborates with Wrentham team members, outside treating agencies and allied partners to ensure services provided support the goals and objectives located in the resident's ISP.
    6. Completes quality assurance (QA) tracking and reporting functions by aggregating data from direct therapists, assessing and reporting on monthly progress and ISP goals/objectives, and determining specialized team meetings, trainings, or consultations.
    7. Provides direct therapy services on an as needed basis based on the needs of the clinical team and the Wrentham residents.
    8. Attends and participates in regular therapist team meetings, ISP meetings, internal facility meetings and committee meetings as deemed appropriate by Wrentham administration.
    9. Develops and maintains relationships with local universities to aid in recruitment of new employees.
    10. Prepares and presents reports per the request of the Program Director and/or Hope executive team.
    MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
    1. Assumes responsibility as a mandated reporter concerning incidents of purported abuse/neglect of individuals as outlined in the agency's policies and procedures.
    2. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    The work will be primarily completed with Wrentham Developmental Center and its campus. The work does not include significant usage of a motor vehicle. The work may also require exposure to medium amounts of noise in a large state-run residential center. On occasion, the work may require flexible hours outside of normal business hours.

    PHYSICAL REQURIEMENTS:

    The Clinical Coordinator requires the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 15 pounds of force at a time and may be subject to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (both written and orally) in a professional manner, with all levels of employees (professionals, teachers, paraprofessionals, service coordinators, insurance representatives, etc.).

    Ability to supervise, mentor, and direct others in a clinically or process-oriented manner.

    Ability to lead others, inspire positive change and good customer service is vital.

    Ability to handle multiple complex tasks or assignments, consistently producing high quality work.

    Ability to work productively with high level executive staff.

    TRAINING, ACADEMIC AND EXPERIENTIAL REQURIEMENTS:
    1. Master's Degree and appropriate licensure/certification preferred.
    2. Successful background clearance.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. 3-5 years working in a not-for-profit agency with individuals who have developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism and dual diagnosis (ID + Axis I) is preferred.
    2. 2+ years providing leadership to a not-for-profit program (clinical and/or administrative) is highly desirable.
    3. Licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapist Assistant is highly preferred.
    4. Enhanced understanding of medical/clinical records, consents, and confidentiality.
    5. Demonstrated management abilities and organizational skills.
    6. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem solving skills.
    7. Proficiency in the use of personal computers and software applications.
