Position Summary


The Portfolio Management Analyst, Debt will own and drive the development, maintenance, updating and analysis of various comprehensive financial models and supporting analysis.

Prepare request financial reports for Berkshire Debt Fund strategies and assist in special projects as directed. This position will assist in strategic planning for business divisions and funds.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain, update, and analyze comprehensive financial models, integrating both historical, current and proforma information; work closely with various levels of the organization to effectively identify and address business issues through models and presentations, and prepare for ad hock and regular meetings
  • Maintain the organization's historical track record integrating historical and liquidation values on a quarterly basis
  • Prepare ad hoc deliverables at investment and fund level for internal and external stake holders
  • Assist with active pipeline reporting and daily management of investment portfolio
  • Master existing company technology and assist in identifying, evaluating, and implementing new technology tools to enhance the modeling, analysis and reporting of financial information
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for Berkshire Debt Fund strategies
  • Special projects
  • Coordinate the reconciliation of various subsidiary entities into master models
  • Participate in "as needed" Accounting, asset management, financial meetings and conference calls
  • Perform any additional duties or tasks as assigned
  • Consistently demonstrate use of tact and discretion

Knowledge/Experience:


  • Experience in building complex business models using Excel or Excel based tool
  • Ability to present thoughts, content, and conclusions to senior management
  • Ability to produce excellent quality work that is thorough, accurate, complete, consistent, and able to get information when requested
  • Interest in organizing, prioritizing, and leading multiple priorities, using critical thinking and problem solving
  • Demonstrated multimodal communication style that reaches every stakeholder, specifically excellent verbal, and written communications
  • Collaborative working style with inclusive work and thinking behaviors, commitment to excellence in teams and work product, with a strong work ethic
  • Proficiency and willingness to adopt new systems and processes
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence in high pressure and critical situations
  • Ability to see, analyze and understand business dealings in terms of the overall business plan

  • Maintain confidentiality of critical information and communications of information
  • Develop productive working relationships with all team members including internal clients and external third parties
  • Demonstrated high level of ethics and integrity with a straightforward and honest approach

Technical/Educational Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Demonstrated advanced financial modeling and Excel skills required
  • Proficiency with computers, keyboards, monitors, and telephone headsets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, Power Point)
