Restaurateur/Hotelier Michael Zislis is excited to announce his latest project - a reimagination of Downtown Manhattan Beach's iconic Manhattan Beach Brewing Company Opened as a working brew pub in 1991 and renamed Brewco in 2010, Brewco closed its doors on January 31st and will reopen as an elevated social house gathering spot that embodies the spirit of Manhattan Beach.


Our restaurant cultivates a warm and inviting atmosphere for lunch, seamlessly transitioning into a memorable dining experience in the evening.

brewco is crafted to appeal to those seeking both a casual and refined ambiance. Our space blends the beauty of nature with the comfort of modern design.

From interior trees to natural stone, brass accents, and tiled touches, every corner of Brewco exudes coastal charm and relaxed intimacy.

Our environment feels sophisticated, yet modern with earthiness, refinement, and classic elegance.


What does brewco serve? Our food is true Californian, emphasizing dishes that are driven by local and sustainable ingredients with attention to seasonality and on the bounty of the region. We will serve rotisserie chicken, wood grilled meats and fish, fresh salads, sushi and incredible appetizers. Each dish is crafted with care and creativity, leaving you feeling special and taken care of with every bite. Brewco features an extensive selection of craft beers, curated eclectic wines, and a cutting edge cocktail program.





COMPENSATION:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • Full knowledge of liquor, beer, and wine.
  • 2+ years of higher end serving experience.
  • Self banking and cash handling experience.
  • Toast experience is strongly preferred.
  • Team service is a must bussing, table maintenance, food running, cocktail running for the entire team.
  • In depth food and ingredient knowledge (must pass menu tests.)
  • Comfortable describing food in detail.
  • Guest experience and great serviceforward. Takes pride in hospitality.
  • Barista experience is a plus.

  • It is each server's responsibility to greet guests as they enter the restaurant.
  • Suggest and promote food and drinks served, as food and drink sales are an important part of the position.
  • Be aware of all state liquor laws as well as company and departmental policies regarding consumption of alcoholic beverages.
  • Know all available spirited beverages, NA Beverages, beers, and wines by the glass or bottle. Also, be familiar and comfortable discussing regions, styles, and varietals of wines offered.
  • Knowledgeable about all menus and hours of operation.
  • Be familiar with emergency safety measures.
  • Maintain and ensure each table is clean and presentable for every guest.
  • Take food and beverage orders; ensure placement of order and accurate and timely delivery.
  • Work special group functions as required.
  • Follow the steps of service as outlined for your position.
  • Complete opening/closing duties.
  • Actively practice exceptional hospitality, utilizing S.A.N.E., Finding the Yes, and Collecting and Connecting Dots.
  • Embody and practice the Company Purpose (Creating Happiness) and Four Core Qualities (Friendliness, Show, Delight and Promptness).
  • Follow standards of service/mystery shop standards with each and every guest, each and every time.
  • Be a Creative Problem Solverdo what's needed to make the guest happy.
  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings and supplemental training sessions, being attentive and taking notes when appropriate.
  • Valid Food Handlers & RBS certificate at all times.
