Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a medical/surgical setting. This is a full-time position with various shifts available.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' health status
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor and document patients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress
  • Assist with procedures such as catheterization and dialysis
  • Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or memory care needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and selfcare techniques
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems (EMR) to accurately document patient information and maintain records
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
  • Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens as needed

Requirements:


  • Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care or medical/surgical setting
  • Proficiency in medication administration and knowledge of common medications used in medical/surgical care
  • Experience with catheterization, dialysis, dementia care, and memory care is preferred
  • Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) commonly used in medical/surgical settings
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment while providing exceptional patient care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Excellent critical thinking and problemsolving abilities to make sound clinical judgments
