- Comprehensive integrated vegetation management assistance to internal clients within the Gas Department. This may include weed and brush control, brush removal, tree removal, pesticide applications and vegetation management planning.
- Vegetation Management Services related to PG&E's Gas Transmission Operations and Maintenance projects.
- Prioritization and supervision of vegetation reclamation projects throughout PG&E's service territory.
- Vegetation Management Services related to PG&E's Gas Transmission Construction projects.
- Manages multiple assignments concurrently. Contributes significantly to developing company procedures, guidance, specifications and guidelines.
- Works independently with only general direction. Can serve as team leader. Assignments are of broad scope and complexity. Assignments require integration of information from a variety of sources.
- Provide clear direction to PG&E personnel, contract vegetation inspectors, and vegetation contractors in performance of day-to-day activities related integrated vegetation management.

- Project Planning and Workload Management: Ensure that project work scope, schedule and cost are accurately analyzed prior to commencement. Actively plan, estimate, and manage all project work for each line of business.
- Leadership: Provide leadership and foster an environment that encourages teamwork and innovative problem solving. Identify, communicate, and implement strategic initiatives to improve processes to benefit operations.
- College degree in Natural Resources Management, Forestry, Project Management, or related field
- Or 4 years' experience in the management of natural resources, project management and contract administration
- Possess a valid California Class C Driver's License
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products
- Proficient in the use of GIS applications
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and achieve team goals
- Demonstrated ability in budget forecasting, planning and management
- Knowledge and experience in the application of pesticides, possess a Qualified Applicators License (QAL)
- Demonstrated experience in governmental agency and NGO interaction

The men and women of Electric & Gas Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric & gas service to our customers. PG&E's Gas Transmission Vegetation Management Unit's role is to support the Gas Transmission Department's Right-of-Way (ROW) operations and maintenance encroachment program and safety projects.

Position Summary
The Vegetation Management Land Consultant will be primarily responsible for oversight of Vegetation Management Services for internal clients associated with the System-wide Gas Line Clearing and Maintenance Program. This position will also support vegetation management on PG&E's Construction Projects. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to support Gas Transmission safety projects, project management support for assigned geographic areas throughout the service territory, manage assigned location from tree inventory collection to final tree removal, present data to internal and external stakeholders, manage both professional service and vegetation removal contractors, and support the Program Director. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing vegetation removal activities as they relate to compliance and construction projects, attending city/county meetings, oversee assigned city data flow to completion and delivery to appropriate gas dept., as well as provide advice and strategic planning for the program. This position will act as a project manager to specifically assigned locations and be involved in contract administration and appropriate budgeting of work. The successful candidate will assess impacts of vegetation on facilities and prepare prescriptions to treat and manage incompatible vegetation. Close coordination with State, federal, city, and county agencies will be required.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $93,000
Bay Area Maximum: $139,000
&/OR
California Minimum: $88,000
California Maximum: $132,000
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned location based on business needs. Headquarters location is flexible within the PG&E service territory
