Essential Functions:

  • Promotes and incorporates the YMCA five core values and character development model in to all program activities.
  • Prepares registration forms
  • Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
  • Communicates with front desk in regards to scheduling program meetings, and registration dates and deadlines.
  • Maintains accurate records of all registrations for statistical reporting
  • Assists Program Director in operation of program
  • Develops activities for programs
  • Works with supervisor to maintain and/or increase program quality and participation
  • Assists supervisor and other staff with special projects as requested
  • Demonstrates physical, emotional, and intellectual competencies necessary for selfcontrol and good judgment when performing assigned duties.
  • Coordinates use of center facilities for program activities and events.
  • Assists in center fund raising activities and special events.
  • Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner.
  • Reports suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
  • Follows mandated abuse and incident reporting requirements.
  • Meets timelines and deadlines related to supporting systems and employee compliance. Including but not limited to Kronos Workforce Ready for submission and approval of timesheets.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma(or Equivalent) College Degree
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Minimum 21 years of age(must be at least 5 years older than the oldest participant)
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
  • Previous experience working with older youth and teens in a developmental setting.
  • Previous experience with diverse populations.
  • Valid driver's license and completion of defensive driving.
  • Available to work evenings & weekends
Language Skills

  • Ability to read, interpret, retain, and teach documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure/educational manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of children, parents, staff, members of the YMCA, and/or others, as well as in oneonone situations.
Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
