- Assist with the design, development, and release of both assembly and test processes for all new products being introduced to manufacturing.
- Coordinate with program manager the receipt, setup, and release of customer provided items (ex. image, firmware revision, etc.) during all phases of the program (ex NPI, sustaining, etc.)
- Create, release, and maintain work instructions for manufacturing.
- As required, provide training to manufacturing on work instructions and the proper use of special test tools or fixtures.
- Provide priority support to the production floor to ensure the product is of high quality and delivered on time.
- Provide, fabricate, and coordinate the purchase of tools and materials needed to support the manufacturing process.
- Work with global team members to optimize and standardize methods.
- Analyze labor requirements with focus on opportunities to reduce cycle time and touch time.
- Develop and deploy efficient processes and controls that will also ensure that all critical to quality data is captured.
- Create and deploy solutions that ensure corporate compliance to ISO standards (ex TL9000, ISO9001, IS14000, ISO 27001, etc.)
- Perform root cause analysis of manufacturing process failures and implement closed loop corrective actions in support of improving product yields
- Working with UNICOM's change control tool set (ex. Agile) develop and release BOM structures that accommodate an efficient build process and will also enable manufacturing to meets its delivery service level requirements.
- Initiate, review, and implement ECO's for UEI & Contract Mfg.
- Maintain current working knowledge of tools and fixtures.
- Provide final approval for the release of a product to General Availability.
- Maintain scripts that are used for test, drive continuous improvement through test automation and team collaboration.
- Maintain a focus on data security, as well as change control methods.
- Learns about Company's business as appropriate. Shows up to work on time and attends work as scheduled.
- All other duties as requested by supervisor or department head.
- CompTIA A~~@~~ certification or equivalent.
- 0-3 years of related experience.
- Knowledge and experience with process and test engineering.
- Strong hardware experience including familiarity of Intel and Dell enterprise-grade servers, RAID arrays, computer networks, hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Experience with software including BIOS, Linux operating systems, Windows, Agile, Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of programming and scripting is preferable.
- Candidate must have a wide understanding of computer technologies, interoperability, and functionality.
- Knowledge and experience with document control and technical writing.
- Ability to follow all applicable Business Management System (BMS) processes.
