JOB SUMMARY:

press operator - Setup, maintain, and operate a 28" KOMORI -6 color sheet-fed printing press.

Principal duties include following work order instructions to ensure proper press setup and running the press for each job as well as performing quality checks.

Hours are 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setup and operate a 28" KOMORI printing press.

• Operations include

• Pull correct stock for each run according to the workorder, set up and calibrate inline feeder, key in and hang plates for process printing and PMS colors, mix PMS inks as needed. Create make ready jobs for color and registration. Conducts quality checks throughout press run.

• Quality Control Analysis

• Continually pull and inspect product during print run making sure the copy matched color proofs as well as registration, cutoff and folds.

• Maintenance tasks

• Removes and installs new ink rollers, blankets and clean filter. Grease machines per company standards. Maintain a clean, safe working environment by keeping skids neatly stacked, floors swept, and materials organized.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in printing
• KOMORI sheet fed press
• High level of attention to detail required. Must be able to visually observe colors and detect variations.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with other team members.
