Senior Indirect Sourcing Specialist
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Indirect Sourcing Specialist to join our procurement team in Boston, MA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the sourcing and procurement activities for indirect goods and services to support our manufacturing operations.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect categories such as facilities management, IT services, logistics, and professional services.
Lead supplier identification, selection, and evaluation processes to ensure best value for the organization.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings, quality improvements, and risk mitigation.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their business requirements and develop procurement plans to support their needs.
Manage supplier relationships to drive performance improvements and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Stay informed about market trends, supplier capabilities, and regulatory changes that may impact sourcing strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proven track record of delivering cost savings and process improvements through effective sourcing strategies.
Familiarity with procurement tools and systems, such as ERP software and e-sourcing platforms.
CIPS or other relevant certification is a plus.
