Ophthalmic Technician:


Due to the increasingly growing need for skilled technicians in ophthalmology, Eyesight is seeking to fill various Technician positions for each of their 4 locations in Portsmouth, Somersworth, Exeter and Kittery.

Trained under both ophthalmologists (MDs) as well as optometrists (ODs) as well as various technician peers, your career in caring for patients begins here


Your career involves taking medical history, performing various tests and exams, supporting doctors during exams or preparing patients to meet with the doctor.

Training including working within our electronic medical record system (EMA/Modernizing Medicine), administering medications and topical treatments, examining and understanding test results and answering patient questions.

If you enjoy working with people of all ages, want to be highly trained to understand hundreds of eye conditions and treatment options and want to work in a clinical setting, this is the career path for you
