What You Will Do

  • Oversee all aspects of the production planning process including antigen preparation, plasma/serum processing, semifinished and finished materials as applicable.
  • Maintain the backorder list and update weekly.
  • Maintain the rabbit breeding schedule and advise in demand planning exercises.
  • Working with both R&D and Manufacturing, track in process animal projects, antigen inventories and reorder antigens as needed.
  • Create and maintain all animals in SAP, including schedules and work orders.
  • Work with Animal Operations personnel to monitor animal health, maintain animal inventories and necessary schedules as approved by IACUC and attending veterinarian.
  • Maintain ideal numbers of animals onlease and available to ensure proper levels of plasma/serum materials for manufacturing.
  • Maintain titer information on all animals and oversee pool and queue process.
  • Working with Finance and Operations, assist in inventory management, including counts, as needed.
  • Work with Animal Operations and Manufacturing leadership on continuous improvement initiatives as well as better data tools and dashboards.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management, which may not be listed above, that are necessary to accomplish our goal of improving lives by supporting scientific discovery.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Mathematical and scientific skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Solid planning, priority setting, and project management skills with experience managing multiple priorities concurrently.

Preferred educational and experiential background:


  • Bachelor's or Advanced degree in relevant scientific field.
  • 2+ years' experience in a related role preferably in protein manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and inventory management functions of SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel
