Job Description:

The RN Pre Op role requires a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care by following established procedures and organizational guidelines. This includes providing safe and effective care to patients and their families in the perioperative services across all age groups. The RN PACU will align with the organization's mission, vision, and values under the supervision of the Manager of Peri-Operative Services.

Key Qualifications:

Completion of a nursing program from an accredited institution
Possession of a valid Virginia Nursing License
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
At least 2 years of experience in Pre-Op/PACU, with a preference for ambulatory surgical background
Proficiency in surgical procedures and patient management
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and their application
Ability to provide care across all age ranges
Skill in problem-solving, error correction, and quick adaptation to patient needs
Strong teaching, communication, and organizational abilities
Demonstration of professional ethics and behavior
Capacity to build effective relationships with patients, physicians, and colleagues
Emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and adaptability to change
Basic grasp of Performance Improvement principles
