- Serves as Assistant Property Manager and liaison with local agencies.
- Collects rents, follows up on delinquent accounts, and shows housing units to prospective residents.
- Ensures housing units meet all required regulations.
- Provides counseling to residents and documents interactions.
- Coordinates transfer requests and supervises resident services.
- Assists with budget preparation and purchasing for the property.
- Monitors energy usage, oversees security implementation, and reviews project expenses.
- Attends meetings, court evictions, and completes clerical tasks related to tenant management.
- Knowledge of housing regulations and tenant needs.
- Strong interviewing and decision-making skills.
- Ability to maintain records, adhere to regulations, and communicate effectively.
- Capacity to build relationships and operate office equipment.
- Graduation from an accredited college with relevant experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
- Practical experience in public housing programs, including supervisory roles.
- Valid State of Rhode Island driver's license.
- Completion of Property Manager Certification within specified time.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER
REPORTS TO: Property Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary: This is a key administrative role. The Assistant Property Manager supports the property manager in managing dwelling units in multiple locations. Responsibilities include assisting with rent collection, follow-up on delinquent accounts, overseeing property maintenance, and managing resident relations.
